My aim is to provide Architectural design at draftsmans prices.
Look around and you will see that cost is almost never mentioned when it comes to Architectural drawings, plans and approval documents. My business success is founded on transparency. My prices are great and so I can be up-front with the costs. It doesn't matter to me if you live in Davron Park or Unley Park. The price is the same. The only thing that will increase costs on a job is the time I spend on it. If you know what you want you will get a very cheap price. If you don't know what you want you will still get great value for money.
Because I am a Sole Practitioner working from a small home office I have no overheads. This means a cost saving for you. This is why I can afford to charge a rate of $79 an hour GST inclusive. I am billed out at up to $140 an hour when I contract for other architects. This is pretty much the accepted rate and fixed prices you get from other architects are based on this hourly rate plus an added percentage for unforseen variables and profit.My profit margin is the same as the big firms, so you still get quality but at a reduced price. In fact you will usually get better quality documents because I do the work myself. This means you are assured of getting a qualified, seasoned Architect doing your work, rather than some young intern or disgruntled, overworked employee.
Because it is my business you get true committed involvement on my part. My reputation is at stake on every job, so I do my best to be on budget and on time.
Because I do the work myself, from meeting you and taking your brief to getting the final development approval... nothing is lost in translation.
You get what you pay for. Don't be fooled by others that quote low. You will end up paying more, or getting less, or in some cases both. A good part of my business is fixing up documents that have been done cheaply by others and Council has refused them approval. By trying to save a few dollars they end up paying for the job twice. The frustration and time wasting involved in the off-chance of saving a few dollars is never worth it.
